We’re thrilled to welcome Marielle Smith as the VP of People and Vandana Nair as the VP of Revenue Operations & GTM Strategy! Both Marielle and Vandana bring decades of expertise to the Narvar leadership team and I am really excited to have the opportunity to have them on board.
2020 has been a very unusual year — here at Narvar, we have had to go through a deliberate unlearning process and throw out a lot of tried and tested playbooks in order to navigate our way forward. Managing people and nurturing talent is one such area where we are addressing the immediate challenges of our globally distributed team working from home. At the same time, we’re reimagining the key elements of the future workforce in order to have highly effective teams and vibrant culture.
Marielle’s enthusiasm towards taking on this complex challenge was very apparent in our first conversation. Moreover, her passion for creating the best employee onboarding experience and career growth opportunities will enable Narvar to continue building an amazing team to deliver on our company mission. In particular, her work managing employee success at companies like Inflection and Science Exchange will drive us forward into the new normal. Marielle is excited to lead our growing company by redesigning our approach to remote workforces while further focusing on an inclusive culture and individual growth through career paths. I am looking forward to having Marielle revitalize Narvar’s ways of working.
Cultivating a new customer base and expanding existing relationships is another area where Narvar had to step back and think deeply in order to move forward. We are in the process of reshaping our go-to-market approach. Having a leader who at the core can thread the needle between Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Operations is of utmost importance to us. After having a series of conversations with Vandana, having her lead Revenue Operations is a clear step up for Narvar. Vandana was instrumental in building the sales operations function from the ground up at both Workday & Dropbox, establishing scalable processes & building a robust sales systems infrastructure to support GTM planning and improve sales productivity. Her pragmatic approach to decision making and execution speed is what our customers expect from us in this new business environment.
Narvar's solutions are more important than ever during these tumultuous times. We are expanding the leadership team to ensure we're ready to take on the challenges ahead — starting with Doris Lau who joined us as the VP of Operations & Strategy two months ago. I look forward to working together with Marielle and Vandana to attain our mission of simplifying the everyday lives of customers.
